Star Jones: "I wanted to reclaim my life" - TELEVISION - MSNBC.com
As the years go on, it gets more ridiculous. People get more notoriety for doing less. What has Star Jones done? She was a legal analyst. She's been on "The View". That affects me how? Why should I care?
I do not understand why we make such a big fuss over celebrities. When "Entertainment Tonight" started 25 years ago, I thought it was interesting because it was different than anything else on TV. Unfortunately it started a trend that I do not like.
We have elevated celebrities to a level in this country where they're worshipped. Why? Because they're good at pretending or singing or being pretty! Why should we worship that? The bottom line is that these people are human beings with faults like you and me. I'm more interested in normal people that do amazing things with their lives and their faith. I could care less about Star, Brittney or Bradgelina...

WHOOPS!
USATODAY.com - Should he send 11M roses? Worker hits wrong switch, costs Nova $11M
Wouldn't you hate to be this guy? Yikes! How do you get a job with this on your resume?

It's About Time....
All's not well; let's just admit it IndyStar.com
This is just the tip of the iceburg. We have a lot of things wrong with our state education department. I do believe Suellen Reed is no longer in touch with reality. She has not been in touch with reality for a long time. Again, let's make the position of Superintendent of Public Instruction an appointed position. Instead of a politician, we need an educator who does not have to worry about fighting the governor and the legislator. If the position was an appointed position, the governor could do the heavy lifting. Yes the Superintendent of Public Instruction would have to carry the governor's agenda, but that is the way it should be. At least that's the way I see it. I wonder if Ms. Reed will respond to the Star's editorial?

The Bill Gates-Cialis Connection

From USATODAY.com - Small Business: Who profits as company seeks wider use of impotence drug?
It's entrepreneur Bill Gates, one of the biggest shareholders in Icos, the biotech now seeking regulatory approval for a daily version of its impotence drug Cialis.
Gates owns 5.4 million Icos shares -- 8.3% of all -- according to the Seattle-area company's most recent Securities and Exchange Commission filings. Icos shares have surged 10% since word surfaced last week that the company is seeking approval for daily Cialis in Europe and then the USA. Icos markets the drug with its partner, Eli Lilly.
It's always worth tracking investments made by successful entrepreneurs such as Gates -- especially when the investments are outside the executive's own industry. That could signal future growth sectors. (Photo courtesy of Eli Lilly)
So my big question is, does this imply that Bill Gates has a problem? Does he occasionally get the "blue screen of death" when he and Melinda do the horizontal hokey pokey? Does he have to reboot? Does he have to download a patch? Does something freeze? Some punchlines just write themselves...
